Job summary

Jobot in South Windsor, CT is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join on-site and drive advanced manufacturing processes using MasterCAM. You will develop and optimize CNC programs, design fixtures, and work with production and engineering to boost efficiency and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of CNC programming experience, fixture design expertise, and a strong foundation in machining principles.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in MasterCAM or equivalent software.
Experience in fixture design and implementation.
Strong understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize CNC programs using MasterCAM for various machines to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Design and implement custom fixtures to hold workpieces during machining operations.
Collaborate with the production team and engineers to determine optimal machining strategies and sequences.
Perform regular testing and inspection of CNC programs to ensure they meet design specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machining.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Ensure all CNC machines are operating at peak performance and that routine maintenance is carried out.
Provide training and support to machine operators and other staff as needed.
