Job summary

Opti Staffing is hiring for a Drafting/Programmer in NE Portland, OR. You will create shop fabrication drawings, translate blueprints into build-ready drawings, and write CNC code to support precise production.

The role focuses on interpreting designs, CAD/CAM integration, and collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AutoCAD experience.
• 2+ years of Mastercam programming experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and renderings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Position: Drafting/Programmer

Location: NE Portland, OR

Pay: $28.00–$32.00/hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (OT as needed)

What You’ll Do

• Create shop fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and Mastercam for CNC machinery.
• Translate architectural and interior design blueprints or renderings into accurate, buildable shop drawings.
• Write code for CNC equipment to ensure efficient, precise production.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency in a high-production environment.

What You Need to Have

• The Musts: 2+ years of AutoCAD experience
• 2+ years of Mastercam programming experience for CNC machinery

• Familiarity with architectural woodworking and detailing
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Preferred: Cabinet-making or shop floor experience
