Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret engineered drawings in metric, decimal, and fractional inch units.
• Ability to machine to .005 tolerance.
• Experience with CNC setup and operation of mills, including 5-axis work.
• Demonstrated tooling design and ability to use inspection tooling.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and basic SPC concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills according to inch and metric drawings.
• Operate 5 Axis CNC to machine flat, contoured, and formed parts.
• Advise on tooling and machining capabilities; justify new tooling.
• Communicate issues with work orders, programming errors, or material shortages.
• Record labor time for job tracking and maintain clean work area.

They need a team player who wants to help their peers while positively impacting the company’s vision.What You’ ll Do:This position is responsible for set-up and operation of the CNC Mills in compliance with inch and metric drawing specificationsSet up and operate 5 Axis CNC to machine flat, contoured and formed parts to inch and metric drawing specifications.Act as technical resource regarding tooling and machining capabilities.Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes.Communicate issues relating to work orders, programming errors, material shortages or errors.Continuous focus on reduction of material, labor and scrap.Perform minor maintenance activities as required by the preventive maintenance program.Continued education and training including, but not limited to: ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, teamwork, and Statistical Process Control.Maintain cleanliness of work area.Accurately record labor time for job tracking.Present a professional image in accordance with company appearance standards.Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.Demonstrate & Promote Safety in accordance with company policyAdvise on corrective actions that need to be takenDocument Red linesPerform R&D work as directedWhat’ s in it for You:Compensation $28-32/hr DOEOpportunity to work alongside qualified individuals with tribal knowledge of the industryRelaxed environmentEducation in new and unique partsAwesome team of specialists that are proactive at work and within the community!What You Need to Have:Ability to machine to .005 tolerance.Able to use rotary table and divider head mill vise.Demonstrated ability to perform tooling designs.Demonstrated ability to use inspection tooling to measure and verify dimensions.Must be able to read and interpret engineered drawings in metric, decimal and fractional inch units.Able to maintain and inspect tooling.Demonstrated ability to set up manual machine using appropriate tooling and fixtures.Demonstrated ability to operate manual mill and lathe.Demonstrated ability with troubleshooting skills.Demonstrated ability to set up CNC machine loading programs, tools, fixtures and setting tool offsets.Demonstrated ability to use and read precision measuring devices in thousandths.Demonstrated ability to identify various cutting tools and materials utilized.Able to perform more complex variety of machining skills.Demonstrated skills in a minimum of one other discipline (cross-trained).Ability to CNC Program.Good hand eye coordination and attention to detail.
