A specialized manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Programmer based in Bayport, New York. This role involves drafting and engineering tasks, programming CNC machines from CAD/CAM designs, and using software like AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have relevant CNC programming experience and strong communication skills. Must be available for full-time hours starting between 7am and 8am, including some Saturdays as needed.

Formación

• Relevant drafting and CNC programming experience in millwork or wood manufacturing facility preferred.
• Experience with high-end custom millwork is a plus.
• Strong computer skills necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and designs.
• Use IX/3D software for design drawings.
• Program CNC from CAD/CAM design drawings.
• Program CNC from CAD/CAM design drawings using IX and Enroute software.
• Communicate with vendors, shop foreman and executive team daily.
• Work with shop on construction methods and installation plans.
• Miscellaneous drafting work as needed in IX and AutoCAD for purposes of production.

This is not a Shop CNC Operator or Machinist position; our CNC Programmer role requires drafting and engineering in various computer programs in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, hand drawings, and/or AutoCAD drawings and designs.
• Use IX/3D software to create design drawings of kitchens and other millwork for fabrication.
• Utilize IX software and AutoCAD to process kitchens and other millwork to the CNC machine.
• Program CNC from CAD/CAM design drawings using IX and Enroute software.
• Communicate with vendors, shop foreman and executive team daily.
• Work with shop on construction methods and installation plans.
• Miscellaneous drafting work as needed in IX and AutoCAD for purposes of production.

Qualifications

• Relevant drafting and CNC programming experience in a millwork, kitchen cabinetry, and/or wood manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
• Experience with high-end custom millwork is a plus.
• AutoCAD experience and strong computer skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be available to work full-time hours with 7am - 8am start time.
• Must be available to work some Saturdays as needed.
