Position: Machine Shop Programmer

The CNC Machine Programmer develops and implements machine programs for large CNC machines on the manufacturing floor. You will collaborate with engineering and machinists to develop processes and tooling for complex machining activities, including fixturing and tool path development. This role involves working on various machine types and mentoring less experienced programmers.

You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and be based in Newington, NH. This position is 100% on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and install machining programs for CNC centers.
2. Procure and develop tooling to support CNC programs.
3. Create tooling lists for ongoing processes.
4. Assess machining center capabilities for optimal machine assignment, balancing setup and run times.
5. Determine suitable machine centers and coordinate with schedulers for scheduling.
6. Program and process complex machining tasks across various machine styles.
7. Serve as a subject matter expert in machining center programming and functions.
8. Communicate effectively with all plant employees and discuss technical concepts with engineering teams.
9. Lead and mentor junior CNC programmers, recommending training and process improvements.
10. Enhance process times by applying lessons learned and implementing improvements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 8 years in CNC programming or 3 years combined with machinist experience.
3. Expertise in machine centers, GD&T, tooling, and engineering terminology.
