Job Summary

CNC Programmer and Operator wanted for a direct hire opportunity in Billerica, MA. This role supports our expanding precision machining operations, working on a variety of metal components from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes. This is a hands-on position suited for someone confident in interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and working independently on complex machining tasks.

• Salary: $54,080 - 72,800 per year
• Work hours: 7am to 3pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

1. Program, set up, and operate CNC machine tools, including multi-axis lathes.
2. Interpret customer drawings and specifications to determine machining operations, speeds, feeds, and tolerances.
3. Plan and execute machining operations, including trial cuts, adjustments, and in-process checks.
4. Utilize CAM software and other machining tools as required.
5. Apply trigonometry and shop math to calculate dimensions and part geometry.
6. Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM, profilometers, and vision systems.
7. Work independently from raw material to finished product.
8. Perform secondary operations such as deburring and finishing.
9. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
