Job Title: Machine Shop Programmer

You will develop and implement machine programs for large CNC machines on the manufacturing floor. Collaborating with engineering and machinists, you will develop processes and tooling for complex machining activities, including fixturing and tool paths. This role involves working with various machine center types and mentoring less experienced programmers.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position is based at Newington, NH, and is 100% on site.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and install machining programs for CNC machining centers.
2. Procure and develop tooling to support CNC programs.
3. Create tooling lists during the process.
4. Select appropriate machines based on capabilities to optimize costs and efficiency.
5. Coordinate with scheduling to assign machine centers for production.
6. Program and process complex machining work across various machine styles.
7. Serve as a subject matter expert in programming functions for all types of machining centers.
8. Communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel.
9. Discuss complex technical concepts with shop personnel and engineering teams.
10. Align with management goals and milestones.
11. Lead and mentor junior CNC programmers, recommending training and technological improvements.
12. Enhance process times and efficiency based on lessons learned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
2. 8 years of CNC programming experience or 3 years with an additional 5 years as a machinist.
3. Expertise in machine centers, GD&T, tooling, and engineering terminology.
