Job summary

MAINI LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Stone Fabrication Lead in Staten Island, NY to support a growing custom stone fabrication operation. You will program, set up, and operate CNC machinery, optimize programs for countertops and stone products, and lead a fabrication team to scale production.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in CNC programming within stone fabrication, with granite, quartz, and natural stone experience, strong CAD/CAM skills, and the ability to read shop drawings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Stone Fabrication Lead to support a growing custom stone fabrication operation. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong CNC programming expertise and a background in granite, quartz, and natural stone fabrication. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing production standards, optimizing workflows, and helping build a high-performing fabrication team as operations expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery used in stone fabrication.
• Create and optimize CNC programs for countertops, vanities, wall panels, and custom stone products.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform machine calibration and basic maintenance to ensure consistent production accuracy.
• Coordinate daily shop activities and prioritize production schedules.
• Establish fabrication processes, quality standards, and best practices.
• Train and mentor fabrication and machine operation personnel as the team grows.
• Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to specifications, quality requirements, and craftsmanship standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming and machine operation experience within the stone fabrication industry.
• Proven experience working with granite, quartz, marble, and natural stone materials.
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming and CAD/CAM software.
• Experience interpreting shop drawings, templates, and fabrication specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and safely handle stone materials using proper equipment and procedures.
