The ideal candidate has experience with stone materials and the ability to read shop drawings, follow project specifications, and maintain safety and efficiency on a fast-paced production line.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in stone fabrication.
• Experience with marble, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, or similar stone materials is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production specs.
• Strong understanding of CNC setup, tooling, and basic troubleshooting.

Position Overview

Dimensional Stoneworks is seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our stone fabrication team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in a stone fabrication environment, and takes pride in producing precise, high-quality work.

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment used to cut, shape, machine, and finish natural and engineered stone. This position works in a fast-paced production environment where the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain consistent quality is essential.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery to cut, shape, drill, profile, polish, and finish stone materials according to project specifications.
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust CNC equipment to ensure accurate and consistent production.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, CAD drawings, work orders, and production specifications as required.
• Verify dimensions, tooling, machine settings, and material prior to machining.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production standards.
• Inspect completed pieces for accuracy, finish, and overall quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine or production issues and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Work efficiently and maintain productivity while meeting established production schedules and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with fabrication, design, and installation teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
• Minimize material waste through proper machine setup, material utilization, and efficient production practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and required PPE guidelines.
• Adapt to changing production priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and perform other duties as requested to support the team and company’s operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery is required; stone fabrication experience is strongly .
• Experience working with materials such as marble, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, or other natural and engineered stone is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, and work orders as required.
• Strong understanding of CNC machine setup, operation, tooling, and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.

• Work is performed in a fast-paced stone fabrication and manufacturing environment where priorities and production demands may change throughout the day.
• Work may involve exposure to noise, water, machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Must follow all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace safety procedures.
• Must be able to maintain focus, accuracy, and safe work practices while working at a steady production pace.
