Job summary

Kennametal is seeking a CNC Operator II for the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11pm–7:30am) to manufacture quality parts that meet exact specifications. You will set up and operate CNC machines, perform in‑process inspection with CMM and Keyence, and support root cause analysis for quality issues.

The role requires strong mathematics, blueprint reading and a disciplined approach to production safety and efficiency. Training is provided in a climate controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Requires strong math skills including trigonometry, geometry and algebra.
• Reads, interprets and understands blueprints.
• Analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform routine CNC setup and operation with supervision.
• Familiar with precision measuring tools like CMM or Keyence.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures quality parts to meet specifications within budgeted costs.
• Sets up and operates CNC equipment and grinders.
• Inspects parts using CMM or Keyence to ensure specifications.
• Tracks scrap and records in SAP or production systems.
• Collaborates on root cause analysis for quality issues.
