Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Centerless Grinder Operator for the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM). Set up and operate an automated grind line to produce quality parts while following procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities include selecting orders by priority, measuring raw materials, reading blueprints, performing in‑process audits, and keeping parts within specifications. You will troubleshoot grinders and robot cells, train new operators, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Blueprints and specifications must be followed.
• Must inspect parts and ensure conformance.
• Adhere to safety and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Select an order based on priorities provided by the area lead or supervisor.
• Measure raw materials and hold parts to quality specs during cycle runs.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot grinders and robot cells to meet specs.
• Read blueprints and report nonconforming parts; document results.
• Perform daily housekeeping and assist with maintenance tasks.
