Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator I for the 2nd shift in Ohio to run and program multiple machines to blueprint specifications. The role uses HMIs to adjust programs, loads and unloads parts, inspects quality, and maintains tooling while keeping production on schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• 2 year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple machines; adjust programs via HMI.
• Load and unload product from machines.
• Gauge product to ensure dimensions.
• Inspect product visuals for defects.
• Inspect samples with assigned tools and record results per standards.
• Rack products; separate scrap from good units and document.
• Scan and verify production information.
• Maintain machine tooling.
• Train new operators when needed.
• Troubleshoot quality and machine issues from moderate to complex.
