Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Machine Operator I - 1st Shift for our Beltsville, MD facility. Core hours are 7 am–3 pm, Monday–Friday, with an hourly rate of $23. The role involves operating CNC mills and ensuring parts meet drawings while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will perform in-process checks, offset adjustments, and tool changes, and assist in training others. A high school diploma or CNC training is required, with 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience or CNC degree/certification.
• No immigration sponsorship; within 50 miles of Beltsville, MD.
• Export-controlled information; must be a U.S. person.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand 8–12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC mills and perform turn, drill, and bore operations on metal components.
• Inspect part quality and verify conformance to drawings and revisions.
• Use calipers, wrenches, and air guns to perform setup and production tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following 5S+ practices.
• Conduct in-process checks and adjust offsets to meet specifications.
• Assist with training other operators and support related work cells.
