Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a CNC Machine Operator (Lathe) - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm.The hourly rate for this position is $27.50 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for set-up and operation of multiple CNC Lathe and Mill machines. They check quality of finished parts, fully understand technical drawings, revisions and note codes, and uses QC info. They operate machines and any other calibration equipment such as calipers, wrench, and air gun or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.In this role, you will:Perform set-ups and tool changes for multiple machines with different controls in order to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore a variety of metal components.Modify, edit, download, and upload programs in order to make multiple parts.Perform offset adjustments and utilize proper tooling, such as inserts and cutters, based on print specifications.Interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices.Train and mentor other operators.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualification:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from accredited institutionMinimum of 1 year of machinist/CNC experience OR completion of a machinist/CNC degree/certification from an accredited institution.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
