Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FED division in Beltsville, MD is hiring a CNC Machine Operator (Lathe) for 1st shift. The role covers set-up, operation, and quality checks on CNC lathe/mill machines. The team runs from 7 am to 3 pm, with a general guideline salary of $27.50 per hour and ITAR compliance.

The candidate will interpret drawings, adjust tooling and offsets, and mentor peers while ensuring safety and quality. Candidates within 50 miles are prioritized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of machinist/CNC experience OR completion of a machinist/CNC degree/certification from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates within 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered.
• ITAR: U.S. persons required to access restricted information.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate multiple CNC Lathe and Mill machines.
• Check quality of finished parts against drawings and revisions.
• Modify, edit, download, and upload CNC programs.
• Perform offset adjustments and use proper tooling per print specifications.
• Train and mentor other operators.
