Job summary

Eaton's Beltsville, MD manufacturing facility is seeking a Machine Operator I for the 3rd shift (11 pm–7 am) to join our Aerospace team. The role involves operating CNC mills, verifying part quality, reading drawings, and performing tool changes.

You will perform deburrs, set up and calibrate equipment like calipers and air guns, conduct in-process checks, and help maintain a safe, organized workspace per 5S+ standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment OR completion of a machinist/CNC degree/CNC certification.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• ITAR: US person required (citizenship / residency per ITAR) for access to ITAR-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC mills and check quality of finished parts.
• Review drawings, revisions and note codes; perform tool changes.
• Perform routine loading/unloading of production parts and deburr as per drawings.
• Identify inserts and general tooling; conduct 5S+ in the work area.
• Perform in-process checks and adjust offsets to meet specifications.
• Interpret drawings and train other operators as needed.
