Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. You will set up and run CNC lathe machines, interpret blueprints, apply GD&T, and troubleshoot programs while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will collaborate with superintendents and quality personnel to ensure on-time production, perform daily maintenance, and document shift activities. A strong work ethic and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient with measurement tools and basic math.
• Ability to document machining procedures accurately.
• Understand tooling, fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling basics.
• Familiar with machining practices and materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines for turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling.
• Optimize setup times and machine utilization.
• Read and interpret blueprints and route instructions.
• Apply GD&T principles to part inspection and tolerancing.
• Troubleshoot programs and adjust as needed.
• Follow in-process inspection protocols and report non-conformances.
• Coordinate with supervisors and quality personnel to resolve issues.
• Wear PPE and maintain safe working practices during shifts.
• Record issues and document shift transitions.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on machines.
