Qualifications

• Significant manufacturing engineering experience in CNC machining with hands-on problem solving.
• Experience elementing new work from engineering drawings through production.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, workholding, and fixtures.
• Ability to troubleshoot shop-floor issues and guide corrective actions.
• Experience interpreting GD&T and complex manufacturing requirements.
• Proven track record leading improvements with measurable results.
• Experience implementing digital manufacturing tools and AI in manufacturing workflows.
• Experience leading technical teams while staying hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Lead the methodizing of new work, including routings, sequences, setups, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
• Provide direct technical support for CNC programming, setup optimization, machining issues, and troubleshooting.
• Lead tooling and fixture design, development, selection, and implementation.
• Collaborate with machinists, programmers, production leaders, and quality personnel to resolve problems.
• Improve cycle times, tool life, process capability, throughput, and consistency.
• Support new product introduction and transition of new work into stable production.
• Ensure processes meet drawings, tolerances, quality, and customer requirements.
• Develop and execute a modernization roadmap for CNC operations.
• Digitize CNC operations with machine connectivity and data collection.
• Identify automation and AI applications to improve efficiency and monitoring.
• Evaluate new equipment and technologies based on value.
