OPW is seeking a Setup Technician for its Whitsett, NC facility. The role involves start-to-finish setup of mill, lathe, and CNC machines producing valve and regulator parts. You will read blueprints, operate machines, perform quality checks, and assist with basic maintenance.

The position requires a keen eye for quality, strong math skills, and the ability to work overtime as needed in a production environment.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and basic shop mathematics.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 45 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to learn new machines and procedures.

Aufgaben

• Set up manual and CNC mills/lathe machines to produce valve and regulator parts.
• Start, position, secure workpieces and engage feeding, cooling and lubrication.
• Read blueprints and verify dimensions and surface finishes.
• Perform quality checks and document measurements with calipers and gauges.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and replace dull tooling.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workspace and participate in Kaizen events.
