Job summary

CalTek Staffing is seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician for a Santa Clara precision manufacturing facility. The role focuses on keeping CNC machines and shop systems safe, reliable, and production-ready.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, manage maintenance records, and coordinate activities with production staff to minimize downtime. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or machine shop environments.
• Working knowledge of CNC machinery maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with reading equipment manuals and maintenance diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machinery and related shop equipment per schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, abnormal operation, and safety/reliability concerns.
• Check and replenish oils, lubricants, filters; service components as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs within training scope.
• Respond to breakdowns, communicate status, and restore equipment to safe operation.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimize disruption.
• Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to PM routines.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
• Keep tools, spare parts, and supplies organized; communicate replenishment needs.
• Support 5S practices and follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
