Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on CNC maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems on CNC mills or multi-axis equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting automatic tool changers, spindles, turret indexing, and machine alignment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, service manuals, and machine diagnostic information.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and electrical test instruments.
• Ability to organize preventive maintenance, prioritize repairs, and communicate status.
• Knowledge of safe machine servicing and lockout/tagout procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own preventive maintenance across CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis centers; develop schedules.
• Diagnose and resolve machine alarms and alignment issues using diagnostics and manuals.
• Troubleshoot tool changer, turret, and spindle issues; perform adjustments per manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect and repair lubrication, coolant, hydraulic, pneumatic, and chip-handling systems.
• Investigate abnormal noises, vibration, temperature, and leaks; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate service visits with manufacturers and third-party providers; track repair history.
• Verify machine function after maintenance before returning to production.
• Maintain equipment records, maintenance calendar, and spare-parts inventory.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment; train operators.
