Job summary

Vactor Mfg. Inc. seeks a CNC Machinist to operate centers such as mills and lathes, create and modify CNC programs, and set up on multiple machines.

The role requires reading blueprints, self-inspection with precision tools, and learning additional CNC processes. Overtime may be required in peak periods, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Qualifications

• Must have minimum of 2 years CNC machine operation experience and knowledge.
• Able to operate conventional machines such as engine lathe, Bridgeport, turret lathe, and radial drill press.
• Able to learn CNC programming software.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting) while performing all job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining centers, such as mills and lathes.
• Make and revise CNC programs.
• Set up on all machines.
• Learn processes such as drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring and turning.
• Inspect own work with calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Run deburring equipment.
• Use fixtures to produce parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Overtime may be required.
