Kennametal Stellite Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist Sales and Application Engineer who will transition hands-on machining and CNC programming experience into a professional sales role.

You will drive metal-cutting tool sales by managing customer relationships, providing technical support, and increasing productivity for customers, with 80%+ travel within Virginia and a company vehicle provided. Base salary is $80,000–$95,000 plus performance bonuses, with benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining industry experience; 1–2 years in technical sales/applications preferred.
• Ability to tailor solutions to customer needs and present technical concepts clearly.
• Independent, strategic thinker with a track record of meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue targets by providing metal cutting solutions that meet customer needs.
• Generate, qualify, and manage all sales leads, prospects, and accounts.
• Drive the full sales process from prospecting to closing, including demos and pricing.
• Develop and execute territory plans to deliver revenue goals with focus on new product sales.
• Provide timely pre-sales technical and commercial responses to customer queries.
• Maintain CRM with up-to-date customer and project records for a healthy pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive end-to-end customer experience.
• Lead product demonstrations and pre-sales workshops within the territory.
