Job summary

Vestcom, an Avery Dennison Company, is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and vertical machining centers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role demands attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to read complex blueprints to produce precise parts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of CNC experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may hold a technical CNC certificate or associate degree.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Technical cert or associate degree in CNC machining preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on CNC experience.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and basic hand/power tools.
• Basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel. G-code familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and VMCs to create high-tolerance parts.
• Troubleshoot issues using manuals, meters, and diagnostic skills.
• Read and interpret blueprints with radiuses, angles, and tangents.
• Perform light maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition.
• Collaborate with colleagues on shop floor projects.
