Job summary

Vestcom, an Avery Dennison Company, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our 1st shift team. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and vertical machining centers to produce high-tolerance parts, read blueprints, and troubleshoot issues.

You’ll maintain equipment and support shop projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Required: 3–5 years CNC experience, high school diploma or GED, technical CNC certificate or AS degree preferred, familiarity with G-code, and ability to stand

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required. A Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CNC Machining is highly preferred.
3-5 years of hands-on CNC experience or equivalent training.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and hand/power tools.
Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Familiarity or working knowledge of G-code is a significant advantage.
The ability to stand for 75% of the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a loud manufacturing environment with PPE.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers to create complex, high-tolerance parts.
Technical Troubleshooting: Use machine manuals, meters, and your own diagnostic skills to identify and fix issues.
Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret complex blueprints to manufacture profiles involving radiuses, angles, and varied tangent points.
Continuous Improvement: Perform light maintenance and cleaning on your equipment to ensure peak performance and a safe environment.
Collaboration: Support plant-wide facility projects and assist team members across the shop as needed.
