Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist (Raptor) for the 2nd shift in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on operating CNC machines, deburring, inspection, and setup on state-of-the-art assets to meet production targets.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years in manufacturing; preferred 5+ years and strong reading/writing, shop math, blueprint reading, and interpersonal skills. Overtime, weekend hours, and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read accurately and write clearly; perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Experience with shop math, blueprint reading and measurement of parts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and produce flight hardware to meet production goals.
• Deburr hardware and inspect surface finishes, threads and edges.
• Chase machine cut threads to size and borescope parts for defects.
• Operate line equipment and perform part finishing per requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep the shop organized and safe.
• Prioritize daily work to maximize machine uptime and manage tooling.
