Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist, Deburr (Raptor) on 2nd shift to support flight hardware production.

You will operate CNC machines, deburr parts, inspect finishes, and perform precision set-ups on state-of-the-art assets, ensuring high uptime and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role requires physical stamina and willingness for overtime, weekend hours, and a 2:45 PM–12:45 AM schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Willingness for 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and produce flight hardware.
• Deburr hardware and contribute to on-time deliveries.
• Chase machine cut threads to size.
• Inspect surface finishes, threads, and edges.
• Borescope parts to check for defects.
• Operate line equipment, laser marking, and part finishing.
• Perform weekly and monthly CNC preventative maintenance.
• Maintain shop 5S and general upkeep.
• Document data with instructions and test plans.
• Set up CNC machines on state-of-the-art assets.
• Prioritize daily work for high machine uptime.
• Manage cutting tools and readiness.
