Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Chattanooga is seeking a mid-level CNC Machinist to set up and operate a CNC vertical machining center producing precision parts.

You will indicate vises, calibrate probes, load tools, read blueprints, and verify dimensions, while ensuring quality and safe operation.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, a certificate in machine tool technology, and 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Indicate vises for alignment each week.
• Calibrate probes each week.
• Indicate and calibrate tool measurement arms as needed.
• Load/unload tools in tool magazine and Tool Data page.
• Program and set up advance level parts.
• Read blue print then verify and check parts to print dimensions as machined.
• Performs in process checks of parts so that adjustments can be made before a nonconformance occurs or a large number of parts are machined out of specifications.
• Monitors quality, makes tool changes and adjustments as required.
