Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Ohio seeks a skilled Machinist to machine, mill, and grind various metals. This role primarily offers 1st shift with potential for 2nd/3rd shifts, weekends, holidays, or 12-hour shifts. You will report to the department Manager and work with a Group Leader and Machinist A.

You will set up machines, operate CNC/conventional equipment, read drawings, and ensure precise parts per specs. Safety and quality are emphasized, with opportunities to train others and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of machining and grinding techniques (feeds, speeds).
• Experience setting up machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Experience writing/modifying machine programs.
• Ability to calculate speeds and feeds.
• Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
• Excellent attendance required.
• Team oriented and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operates and machines parts per blueprints and drawings.
• Mentors less experienced machinists and provides training.
• Owns work tasks and pursues completion with initiative.
• Creates and reworks components per documentation.
• Sets up equipment: feed, speed, temperature.
• Operates CNC and conventional machines to fabricates parts.
• Selects materials and prepares for production processing.
• Reworks and machines new and spare production parts.
• Repairs maintenance parts as needed.
• Verifies accuracy with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators.
• Orders and maintains project-related materials.
• Keeps records of work performed and repairs.
