Job summary
Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to operate CNC machines and support production. Internal Solar Innovations Associates are preferred. You will load materials, verify dimensions, and maintain quality while meeting production goals in a modern manufacturing setting.
You may progress to editing programs as you gain experience, with daily setup and maintenance tasks supporting a clean, safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Must be an active Solar Innovations Associate
- Experience as a Machine Operator; trade school experience accepted in lieu of work experience
- Candidates must be able to read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
- Must be able to complete basic numerical calculations
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines (notching saws, drills, mills, lathes, HAAS, Elumatec)
- Download programs, load extrusions/parts, and cycle machines
- Verify dimensions and quantities per paperwork
- Meet or beat production quantity standards
- Inspect extrusions/parts for quality and tool wear
- Perform daily setup and preventive maintenance checks
- Verify quality control of output
- May edit machine programs/setups as experience grows
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Other duties as assigned
