Job summary

Exco Extrusion Dies Inc. in Chesterfield, MI is seeking a dedicated CNC Machine Operator / Machinist to set up and run CNC mills, read blueprints and prints, and produce precision parts to tight tolerances while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced shop.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of CNC experience, the ability to run more than one machine, basic math, print reading, and a reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Tool and die machining experience (preferred).
• Able to read a print.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Able to run more than one machine.
• Organizational skills.
• Basic math skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC machine.
• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Programs mills by entering instructions, tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
• Maintains continuity among shifts by documenting actions and needs.
• Maintains specifications by taking measurements, troubleshooting, and reprogramming controls.
• Completes preventive maintenance on equipment.
