Job summary

Align Percision is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate CNC milling and turning centers based on complex blueprints. You will retrieve routings, part drawings, and tool lists, select cutting tools, document production in ERP, and inspect parts to ensure tight tolerances.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, a high school diploma with specialized training, and strong math, detail, and teamwork skills. Overtime and standing for long periods may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience.
• High school degree or equivalent, plus specialized training.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements.
• Basic computer skills.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player.
• Understand and obey safety requirements.
• Commitment to keep work area clean and debris-free.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
• Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time.
• Capable of standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers according to complex blueprints and specifications.
• Retrieve job related information (job routings, part drawing, tool lists, work-instructions, etc.)
• Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools and work holding for various materials and machining processes.
• Document manufactured quantities and all required processes utilizing ERP system
• Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet stringent quality control standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• May assist with developing new machining methods and tooling for complex parts.
• This position requires regular and reliable attendance. Occasional overtime may be required.
