Job summary

Goetsch's Welding & Machine, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist Operator for 2nd shift to machine precision metal components. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines while interpreting drawings and CAD designs to meet exact customer specifications.

The role requires 2+ years of CNC experience, knowledge of G-code/M-code programming, and a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork. Training on shift adjustments may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or related degree is a plus.
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred in metal manufacturing.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs.
• Knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
• Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming.
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate machinery safely.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision metal components per specifications.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and inspections to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to determine machining requirements.
• Evaluate material stock and select cutting tools and techniques for each job.
• Adjust speeds and feeds to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Monitor operations for quality and identify deviations or malfunctions.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep work area clean and organized.
