Goetsch's Welding & Machine, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist Operator for 2nd shift to machine precision metal components. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines while interpreting drawings and CAD designs to meet exact customer specifications.

The role requires 2+ years of CNC experience, knowledge of G-code/M-code programming, and a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork. Training on shift adjustments may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or related degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred in metal manufacturing.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs.
  • Knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming.
  • Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate machinery safely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Job Title: CNC Machinist Operator - Lathe and/or Mill

2nd Shift - 3pm to 1am (Monday - Thursday) wage + additional $2/hr. differential. (Will train on a modified shift, working part of 1st shift into 2nd shift for more benefical training before working totally on 2nd shift)

Job Type: Full time Hourly Wage: Based on experience Overtimeon an as needed basis.

Position Overview for CNC Machinist Operator:

As a CNC Machinist Operator in our metal manufacturing division, you will be responsible for simple set ups, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Using your expertise in machining and production techniques, you will manufacture precision components and parts to meet customer specifications. This role requires a thorough understanding of CNC operation, as well as the ability to interpret drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities for CNC Machinist Operator:
  1. 1. Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision metal components according to specifications
  2. 2. Perform routine machine maintenance and conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition
  3. 3. Analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to determine machining requirements
  4. 4. Evaluate material stock and select appropriate cutting tools and machining techniques for each job
  5. 5. Adjust machine settings, including speeds and feed rates, to ensure accurate and efficient production
  6. 6. Monitor machine operations to ensure quality control and identify any deviations or malfunctions
  7. 7. Conduct thorough inspections of finished products for quality assurance and conformance to specifications
  8. 8. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  9. 9. Maintain accurate records of production data, including output and machine maintenance activities
  10. 10. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements for CNC Machinist Operator:
  1. 1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional technical certification or a relevant degree is a plus
  2. 2. Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred operating CNC machines in a metal manufacturing environment
  3. 3. Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs
  4. 4. Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials
  5. 5. Familiarity with programming languages such as G-code and M-code
  6. 6. Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  7. 7. Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining quality standards
  8. 8. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
  9. 9. Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate machinery in a safe manner
