Job summary

Shively Diversified Management Services in Chesaning, MI is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for first shift. You will set up and operate precision milling machines, program toolpaths with Mastercam, and read GD&T to produce high-quality parts.

The role requires strong setup skills, 5+ years in CNC machining, and familiarity with AS9100 standards. Overtime is available; benefits after probation, in a clean, organized shop with modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong setup and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience programming with Mastercam and reading blueprints/GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of tooling, materials, and machining strategies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate JET CNC milling machines with ACU-RITE MILLPWR controls.

• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Optimize tooling, feeds, speeds and setups.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers and height gauges.

Are you an experienced CNC machinist who enjoys precision work, challenging setups, and producing high-quality parts? We're looking for a skilled machinist to join a growing team where craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail are valued.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate JET CNC milling machines equipped with ACU-RITE MILLPWR CNC controls
• Program and modify toolpaths using Mastercam
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Optimize tooling, feeds, speeds, and setup processes
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, indicators, and height gages
• Document inspection results in ProShop ERP
• Help maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement efforts
