Sdmsconnect in Chesaning, MI is seeking an experienced CNC machinist for first shift. You will work on precision milling projects in a clean shop with modern equipment. This hands-on role emphasizes accuracy, problem solving, and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate JET CNC milling machines with ACU-RITE MILLPWR controls.
• Program and modify toolpaths using Mastercam.
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Optimize tooling, feeds, speeds, and setup processes.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.
• Document inspection results in ProShop ERP.
• Help maintain quality standards and support continuous improvement.

Are you an experienced CNC machinist who enjoys precision work, challenging setups, and producing high-quality parts? We're looking for a skilled machinist to join a growing team where craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail are valued.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate JET CNC milling machines equipped with ACU-RITE MILLPWR CNC controls
• Program and modify toolpaths using Mastercam
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience
• Strong setup and troubleshooting skills
• Experience programming with MastercamAbility to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Knowledge of tooling, materials, and machining strategies
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards
• Dependable, detail oriented, and committed to producing quality work
