Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Technical Lead for the Central Maintenance machine shop to oversee setup, operation, and supervision of North Cove shop equipment, including milling, lathe, and grinders. You will mentor apprentices and coordinate with maintenance teams to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of machining experience, CNC and manual skills, and proficiency in Mastercam, G-code, blueprints, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T
• Proficient in CNC and manual machining
• Knowledge of Mastercam, G-code, and CAD software

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate North Cove machine shop equipment safely
• Machine parts within tolerances per blueprints
• Fabricate parts for maintenance and repair of production components
• Stock parts for equipment support
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances
• Assist in troubleshooting machining issues and tooling
• Maintain shop equipment in good condition
• Keep work area organized per 6S program
• Provide on-the-job training to apprentices
• Generate part programs using CAD/CAM software
