Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a CNC Machinist (Raptor) Level 4/5 in Hawthorne, CA. The role focuses on operating CNC machines, deburring, inspection, and tooling management to achieve program production rates.

Overtime and weekend work may be required; this position starts on the first shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM). The successful candidate will have 8+ years in manufacturing, strong math and blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Overtime and weekend availability.
• First shift (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) availability.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/kneeling for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and produce flight hardware to meet production goals.
• Deburr hardware and inspect finishes, threads, and edges.
• Chase machine cut threads to size and borescope parts for defects.
• Maintain and use calibrated devices to ensure conformance to prints.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep shop organized (5S).
• Prioritize daily work to maximize machine uptime and tool readiness.
