Job summary

ManpowerGroup is assisting a Grand Island manufacturer in recruiting a skilled Machinist to join the Production Department. The successful candidate will operate CNC and manufacturing equipment to deliver high-quality parts safely and efficiently, set up for production requirements, and help mentor other machine operators.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience in machine operation, the ability to program CNC machines from drawings and blueprints, and a solid understanding of machining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of machine operating experience.
• Ability to program CNC machines from drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, thread dimensions, and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work overtime or alternative shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC and manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines for production requirements and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing documents to produce parts to quality standards.
• Mentor and train machine operators while assisting supervisors with daily production workflow and quality initiatives.
• Monitor production processes, maintain accurate documentation, and report all safety and quality concerns.
