Job summary

ManpowerGroup’s client in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Machinist to join the Production Department. You will independently operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC and manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality parts safely and efficiently.

The role requires 1-2 years of machine operating experience, ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and the capacity to mentor operators while supporting daily production and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-2 years of machine operating experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to program CNC machines from drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, thread dimensions, and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work overtime or alternative shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC and manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines for production requirements and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing documents to produce parts to quality standards.
• Mentor and train machine operators while assisting supervisors with daily production workflow and quality initiatives.
• Monitor production processes, maintain accurate documentation, and report all safety and quality concerns.
