We are currently seeking a person who strongly aligns with our mission and core values to join our team in Seattle, as a CNC Machinist III in our Aerospace division. This role is ideal for someone with 3 years of CNC Machinist experience and at least one year of setup experience on manual mills. The successful candidate should have well-rounded machining skills, with an emphasis on CNC Lathe, and the ability to work through first part run and setup on the CNC Lathe.

Please Note: Currently, one day shift (7:30 am to 3:30 pm) and one third shift (11:00 pm to 7:00 am) are available. Please specify your preferred shift when applying. Team members working swing or graveyard shifts receive shift differentials.

Purpose
Utilize current knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve setup and operation of various CNC machines to fabricate complex metallic and nonmetallic parts.

Responsibilities

  • Read requirements from specifications, drawings, and customer instructions.
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Independently select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.
  • Select and load appropriate programs from network.
  • Set controls to regulate machining parameters.
  • Perform first part inspections for jobs within their area.
  • Detect and troubleshoot machine and program issues.
  • Read, understand, and interpret G and M codes.
  • Verify finished work conforms to specifications.
  • Consult with lead or supervisor to resolve machining issues and communicate concerns.
  • Mentor other employees and pursue ongoing education in technological advances.
  • Ensure safety and health standards are followed, report concerns immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of setup experience on manual mills preferred.
  • At least 3 years of CNC Machinist experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and provide clear feedback.
  • Understanding of policies, procedures, and basic math skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • Basic understanding of work orders, tools, and quality systems.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and work as scheduled.
