Job summary

First Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist Level 2 to operate, set up, and program CNC machines for precision parts. The role requires reading technical drawings, performing setup, and ensuring quality output in a fast-moving shop environment.

You will program and edit CNC files (G-code/M-code), inspect finished parts with precision instruments, and participate in maintenance and safety procedures to maintain high productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC program or apprenticeship preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist reading technical drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC programming/editing (G-code, M-code).
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts per specifications.
• Load/Unload materials, tools, and machine parts as necessary.
• Ensure tolerance requirements are met and maintained.
• Programming & Editing: Read blueprints, edit CNC programs, use G-code/M-code.
• Quality Control: Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers; document results.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance and follow safety protocols.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work with engineers and production staff; participate in meetings.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements and stay updated on tooling/techniques.
