Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist II to operate and set up CNC machines, ensuring high-precision parts and adherence to GMP/GDP. You will perform routine maintenance, manage tooling wear, and maintain 5S practices while meeting productivity targets in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years CNC experience, a GED or higher, and an Associate degree in Tooling & Machining or related training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 3+ years CNC Machining experience
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining preferred
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only)

Responsibilities

• Operate and Set-up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of varied parts and metals with close tolerances
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets and adjustments for tooling wear
• Ensure product quality by conforming to OOQ standards using a range of measuring equipment
• Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and PM schedule
• Perform hand finishing
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards
• Maintain safe working practices and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues
• Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways to improve productivity
• Record activities on the job tracking system
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities
• Identify and elevate manufacturing issues to supervision for resolution
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards
• Perform other duties or special projects as required
