Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist II to produce precision parts by operating CNC machines and interpreting engineering drawings. You will perform setup, handle close tolerances, monitor quality with OOQ standards, and conduct routine PMs while maintaining safety and 5S practices.

The role requires 3+ years of CNC experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a mindset for continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in production is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and Set-up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of various parts and metals with close tolerances.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets and adjustments as needed.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and measuring equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Record activities in the job tracking system and support Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards and follow GMP/GDP practices.
