Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist I to operate CNC machines, produce machined parts to drawings, and maintain quality and safety standards. The role requires documenting activities, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to GMP/GDP guidelines while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and experience in a production environment; an associate degree or machinist apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D).
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and machine programs and drawings.
• Change dull tooling or make minor offsets and adjustments for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by adhering to OOQ standards and using measuring equipment and inspecting reports.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
• Aim to achieve productivity targets and identify improvement opportunities.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Team Leader/Supervisor on manufacturing issues.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
