Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist I to operate CNC machines and produce machined parts in a quality-driven, safety-conscious environment. You will maintain records, follow GMP/GDP, and participate in continuous improvement while meeting productivity goals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, experience in production, and a willingness to learn tooling and machining practices. On-site role with a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D) preferred.
• Associate degree or apprenticeship in tooling/machining preferred.
• UK GCSE/NVQ math and English desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances per instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and adjust offsets for wear.
• Ensure quality with operator-owned quality standards and inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance from daily PM checklist.
• Perform hand finishing tasks as needed.
• Follow GMP/GDP practices and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Meet productivity targets and seek improvements.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Escalate manufacturing issues to Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
