Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist II in Florida to produce machined parts by operating CNC machinery while upholding quality and safety standards. You will maintain equipment, keep records, and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires setting up and running multiple CNC machines with close tolerances, performing routine maintenance, and following GMP-like practices to ensure traceability and quality across production runs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC machining including progressive operations with very close tolerances.
• Replace dull tooling and make minor offsets for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ standards and using measuring equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Conduct basic visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials and parts.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Record activities in job tracking system and contribute to continuous improvement.
