Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist II to operate and set up CNC machines, producing high‑quality parts within tight tolerances. You will read engineering drawings, follow work instructions, and perform tooling changes as needed to maintain productivity.

A strong focus on safety, quality, and documentation is essential in this role. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of CNC machining experience and an associate degree or machinist apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and Set-up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC machining including progressive machining of various parts and metals with close tolerances.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets/adjustments for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by adhering to OOQ standards and using measuring equipment to interpret readings.
• Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Identify and elevate manufacturing issues to the Team Leader/Supervisor and participate in resolutions.
