Job summary

Warne is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to program and set up machines, monitor tooling and calibrations, and ensure parts meet specifications. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, vocational training, and at least three years of operating experience.

You will read prints, inspect parts with measuring tools, and collaborate with supervision on first articles. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, managing offsets, addressing alarms, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Related vocational or technical training required.
• CNC Operator Certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years as machine operator required.
• Must understand scheduling for shifts and machines.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Able to use calipers and other measuring tools.
• Keen understanding of equipment controls.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up machines, define tool arrangements and calibrations.
• Cleans and maintains machine, tooling, and parts.
• Identifies and replaces damaged or worn tools.
• Observes machine operation to verify accuracy and detect malfunctions.
• Reads prints and checks part specifications using measuring tools.
• Consults with supervisor for first article inspection.
• Inspects work pieces to identify out-of-tolerance machining.
• Navigates controller screens to adjust offsets.
• Recovers machine from alarm scenarios.
• Troubleshoots run issues and implements approved solutions.
• Maintains work station in a safe and clean manner.
• Performs start up and shut down procedures.
• Completes all documentation and travelers.
