Job summary

Thorlabs in Florida is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate milling and turning equipment per inch and metric drawings. You will read blueprints, use G-codes, and inspect parts to meet tight tolerances, while maintaining equipment and following safety procedures.

The role offers a 5:45am–2:15pm schedule, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior Haas/Fanuc experience and CNC certification are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNC certification or CNC trade school a major plus.
• Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls; understanding G codes/M codes.

Responsibilities

• Performs set ups on CNC production equipment (milling, turning) to tight tolerances.
• Reads blueprints and GD&T; inspects finished parts for conformance.
• Performs periodic machine maintenance and basic repairs with hand tools.
• Ensures on-time deliveries by completing tasks as assigned by management.
• Maintains a safe, clean workspace and adheres to safety regulations.
